The Hanoi Ride
Hanoi City Ride – GPX Route & Ride Itinerary 🇻🇳
Experience Hanoi from the saddle with a 28.8 km city ride that takes you through ancient temples, chaotic streets, historic landmarks and some of the most recognisable locations in Vietnam’s capital.
Starting and finishing beside West Lake in Tây Hồ, this route has been personally ridden, filmed and put together by The Secret Ride. It’s designed to give you a brilliant introduction to Hanoi by motorbike without simply bouncing between the usual tourist attractions.
The ride begins at Trấn Quốc Pagoda, one of Hanoi’s oldest Buddhist temples, before heading towards the iconic Long Biên Bridge for a ride across the Red River. From there, you’ll head into the heart of the city to Hoàn Kiếm Lake, take a short walk around the lakeside, then make your way through Hanoi’s streets to the legendary Train Street.
Grab a coffee or something to eat beside the railway tracks before continuing to B-52 Lake (Hữu Tiệp Lake), where wreckage from a B-52 bomber shot down during the Vietnam War still lies in the water.
Finally, escape the city centre and make your way back to West Lake, completing the loop.
