Limestone mountains, ancient pagodas, a dragon above the rice fields and a chance to spot rare wildlife—this is a motorbike adventure worth slowing down for.
Follow The Secret Ride’s Ninh Bình route from Hanoi, or join from the outskirts of Ninh Bình, for two days combining riding with time off the bike to explore.
Start with an optional visit to Tam Chúc Pagoda, then head to Hang Múa for the climb to its famous dragon viewpoint. Continue to Bích Động Pagoda before settling into Tràng An Spring Garden Homestay for a relaxing afternoon.
After dark, explore Hoa Lư Old Town, stroll along Ninh Bình Walking Street and take in the Silver Pagoda and Kỳ Lân Mountain area before returning for a good night’s rest.
The next morning, head out early for a boat trip through Vân Long Wetland Nature Reserve, keeping an eye out for the rare Delacour’s langur among the limestone cliffs. Wildlife sightings aren’t guaranteed, but the quiet morning scenery is an experience in itself.
