Ba Vì Mountain Ride | A Day’s Escape from Hanoi

Leave Hanoi’s busy streets behind and head for winding mountain roads, dense jungle and the hidden French church ruins of Ba Vì National Park.

This self-guided motorbike itinerary takes you to Thác Cổng Trời waterfall before climbing into the mountains. Stop for a coffee along the way, explore the atmospheric church ruins, then continue to the upper car park, where you can choose to climb to Đền Thượng, Uncle Hồ Temple, or both.

Finish with the ride back down through the forest and an optional stop at Hồ Tiên Sa. Head home to Hanoi the same day, or make a night of it with a budget stay at Ba Vì Homestead or a luxury escape at Meliá Ba Vì.
